Dear Santa I want this cute car

Dear Santa, Yes, I know I just asked for a puppy yesterday but I might have a couple more dream items for my list this week. Call me greedy I know, it's just been so hard starting my own company etc the past couple of years. I've been such a budget girl that I thought it would be ok to dream a little this Christmas.

Santa, I drove past this little cute nugget on PCH on Sunday, the dealership is on the way to Newport Beach if you need to know exact GPS points. I realize that the Fiat 500 is not listed on their website right now but I think it's because they're holding it for you to go pick up just for me.

I was thinking that the Fiat would be a good advertising for my letterpress business {thus making it a write off as well} I mean it practically matches my website! That's a sign right? I would put my little scripty logo on the door and toodle around my cute town honking my horn and waving like a parade of letterpress happiness I promise.

I realize that my clown car wishes are a little over our $100 Christmas budget this year but if you have an extra 10k or whatever crazy price they're charging I promise to be a good girl all year round.

Thanks
Richie

Dear Santa, I want a puppy

I have puppy brain right now. My cousin has caviler king charles puppies for sale and the one left is squeeking my name. This poses a problem as my landlord is not favorable on dogs and I am allergic to cats [the pet of choice for choosy landlords]. BTW should you be interested that puppy in the window is located in Elk Grove an hour outside of Sacramento

I should also tell you I can pet cats, snuggle with cats as long as I don't touch my face or have to live in the same interior air that they inhabit. It allows me to get my kitty on in the neighborhood with pets and snuggles when they let me. This will make more sense when I say that...

My favorite neighborhood kitty that I was madly in love with was kidnapped a month ago. Really. Chris and I had named her Fatty Patty as she was fond of snacking her way down the street into chubsville. She's a girl after my own heart really, it probably is why I was so drawn to her . The neighborhood was all madly in love with her and she just disappeared one day [not hit by a car and she was microchipped and all] We think she was so snuggily that someone took her in without thought of the others that loved her. I missed her more after seeing this video as she looked very much like the kitty to the right.

Patty Cake onward Ms. Fatty we miss you

solar lightbulbs

I'm super impressed with this company Nokero based out of Denver, Co. They have developed a solar lightbulb that will help millions of people in third world countries around the world with an affordable light source [other than kerosene hence their name]. They have two models that range from $15 - $20 and replacement bulbs available as well.

Other uses with camping, patio and in natural disasters. I'm thinking about buying a couple to keep in our earthquake kit [yes I'm in So California here]

I can't decide which video to post so I'm giving you both. It make me feel all snuggily and holiday-ish today. Granted the bird isn't even done yet but whatevers.

happy {early} holidays

Valentino for Gap

Apparently, Gap is opening in Italy this month. They asked Valentino to do a capsule collection to celebrate. This is what I read this morning as I nearly fell out of my chair. Guess what? It's only limitedly available in Europe and at Colette of course. All great things come from Colette. Paris selfishly keeps all the good stuff to themselves.

ggggrrrr...

Buy The Bay

Heal The Bay a Los Angeles non profit organization here in Southern California are helping protect our beaches and oceans locally and globally [by default].

A few months ago I was asked to participate with their group for a collection of products to be offered up in limited edition to raise money and awareness for the group. Buy The Bay was launched to do just that.

Though I only got to help out minimally so far with some tags etc for one of the products, I'm happy to be a part of such an amazing group and organization. Tonight I joined my friend Khobe for the launch party. She did get to produce something amazing with them [this necklace] that is now available for sale along with other Los Angeles artisans work on the site buythebay.org

I hope if you have a minute, please click over to see the amazing work the group is doing along with the wonderful project as a whole.

AT YOUR LEISURE

Do you know about J3 Production's Zine At Your Leisure? You should if not. Jonathan from Happy Mundane is the brain child behind this lovely new shelter magazine in it's second issue. Each issue is limited edition and signed BRILLIANT!

Despite my love of all things limited edition, the Zine is really beautifully shot and produced with very clear intentions of their mission which I love:

It's simply a visual train of thought.
A little bit of candy to make your eyes happy.
To highlight individuals that "live what they love" and showcase their creative spaces.
To pay homage to the people, places, things that have inspired us.

I would get on buying one of these beauties. Only 500 pieces in this press run. Each one comes with a little gift did I mention? super fun! Don't miss the behind the scenes shots on their site. Their model? worth the click over
