TUESDAY'S GIVE-AWAY - DIAMOND PENDANT NECKLACE

I'm sure I've mentioned it before but I have crazy talented friends. Khobe Delucca has been a professional jewelry designer for as long as I've known her 10+ yrs now. She also has a cutie store front here in So Cal, Studio Delucca if you live near, where she sells her wares but also holds jewelry and fabricating classes for the novice through the highly experienced. You can get the low-down on all the fun happenings here.

But regardless...TODAY she's giving away a diamond pendant with an initial along with an 18" sterling chain to match. This is over a $100 value folks! Contest ends this Friday. So tell us... what's your favorite piece of jewelry that you own [or have lost]?

PS. What's all this about you're asking? I'm celebrating 1,000 posts and giving away stuff all this week- check back each day for goodies. Enter as many or all of the contests as you want this week [there are only 10 of you anyway!].

i had a sterling silver manta pendant that I loved and lost after I moved. I scoured my apartment and the internet but couldn't find it or anything I liked half as well! Last year when I was cleaning out my sock drawer - I found the little manta tucked away in a rarely used pair of fuzzy winter socks! I have no idea what could've possessed me to ferret it away in such an unusual place - but I am thrilled I found it again!

A lovely giveaway!

Can 3 faves...1) wedding ring; 2) engagement ring; 3) a pair of tanzanite earrings that i had made from stones i brought back from africa. it was fun to pick the stones and design the earrings myself!! i'm not quite khobe, but they came out nice ;)

I have a pair of ruby studs that I wear almost exclusively. I picked out the stones and then had them set in white gold. They're simple, but very nice.
My wedding ring is my other favorite. It's a beautiful platinum ring, carved, filigreed and with millegrain, from the 20's. It's not big or flashy, but it's stood the test of time and I love it more each day. BTW, today is my third anniversary!

gogeous!! like others I would go with my wedding ring(s) from Cathy Waterman that I have stacked on as I type.
True story: I was searching for the boutique with the biggest collection of Waterman rings to choose from--my husband called up one store and they GAVE him Cathy Waterman's phone number...he called, she answered, chatted with him, and suggested a store or two and a few designs that I might like. Thank you so much Ms. Waterman for the advice...love mine!
zuzu@cableone.net --congrats and thank you for the fab giveaways!

My fav piece of jewelery is my engagement ring. After all these years, I still get compliments on it as it is an unusual cut and shape. I'm not much of a jewelery person (but I keep trying and buying things). My new years' resolution this year was to wear things around my neck more often. I think I can say that I have succeeded.

My husband, Ben, and I were married at Burningman 2005 (barely knowing eachother), so to make it a bit more sane, we decided to be married for just one year and see how it went. The next year we went back out there and, after a week in the dust, he pulled out (what I thought was) a diamond ring. After being happily married several more years he admitted that it cost $14 and was cubic zarconium... I loved it and still wore it always. Then in 2007 a wildfire burned everything we ever had, but because I was wearing it, the ring survived! I still wear it always and it is now the most valuable $14 ring in history!

My favorite piece of jewelry is a vintage '50s brushed gold/white gold diamond horseshoe ring that I wear on my pinky like some old Country piano player. This is not a diminutive piece and it usually gets a reaction from people that think I'm trying to be Elvis or something but the truth is that horses are my life. I've had a love affair with them since I was a child and have spent more hours in their presence than I could ever count. I've worn this ring most every day for the better part of 20 years, even at the barn where it gets covered in horse food, horse boogers, horse hair...you name it. When I first saw Khobe's initial pendants I flipped for them and have been hoping for one of my own. Maybe I have a chance!

I lost ONE earring of my favorite pair ever. Isn't that how it always happens? The other is left behind to remind you.

I want that E!

My favorite it this huge gold vintage-looking (yet not) locket my parents got me for my 21st birthday this past year. The cutest part is they made a mini-card for me, in which my dad wrote "21 years ago I changed your first diaper." I still haven't managed to replace it with an actual photo.

I love an antique garnet ring that my mother-in-law gave me - it is a large square cut garnet surrounded by smaller garnets in a beautiful gold ring. She also gave me my husband's Nan's ring which is just a simple gold band that she wore. I wear them together.

I met Khobe when I used to live in LB. She is so talented and inspiring! I hope to be able to visit her studio someday. :)

I've got this great sterling silver photo bracelet from PlanetJill that has a picture of my 2 boys. I love to look down and see their little faces (they are older now) PLUS I'm one of those moms who can remember to put on jewelry but forgets to carry around pictures of my kids to show off!

ooooh I'd love to have one of Khobe's diamond pendants. My favorite piece of jewelry, gosh there are many. But my favorite piece of lost jewelry would be the 1/2 of a pair of earrings simple 3-d crescent moon shaped mini hoop of 18k gold. I'm hoping to hone my jewelry skills to re-make it's match.
