I'm a perfectionist. have been since I was little. I remember crying hysterically going into a geography test in the 4th grade because I knew I wasn't going to get an A.



along the way in my adultness I gave up trying to pretend to be perfect, we're not - any of us... though my assistant would probably tell you otherwise. I'm sure Angelina Jolie can't cook and maybe Katy Perry farts in her sleep, it's just the way it is.

Recently, this lovely, crazy talented gal posted something about perfectionism, which I must say was a relief to me because her schedule makes me exhausted just watching it from the outside. She's 25 or whatever... is what I kept telling myself. I'm comforted to know she has days like mine.

I just read this business report [which I adore] and they spoke to perfectionism, and how it relates to brands. It's an interesting read if you're curious about such things.

I use to date a guy named Raoul, although he spelled it Raul. It was one of those romances that you like him WAY more than he likes you. We actually had a lot of fun, I don't know what his problem was since I'm awesome.



My mom of course was convinced we would have babies, and he would run off back to his country with them [I think she had just seen some movie of the week] I tried to tell her, he's from South America not the Middle East as her movie was set. I honestly think she thought the continents were one in the same.



What does this have to do with the clothing here? Absolutely nothing. The line is called Raoul though and it made me start to think about Raul and his Mr. Big ways. What can I say? I was post-divorce and retarded.



So here's to handbags and South America men and how I made out WAY better in the end.

Have I told you that I've put in my request for my next life? Maybe that's morbid to speak of, but I have. There is only one problem, I have a few and I can't decide.



First off I'm coming back as a house cat - duh. snacks and naps in the sun, need I say more? Second, I'm coming back in Sophia Vergara's body. This is no joke people - she's has the most insane body I've ever seen. And lastly, I'd like to come back as Garance Doré. Shooting fashion week, fabulous friends, running in heels, champagne, France, ciggies and a traveling boyfriend. I mean really, who wouldn't want to be her.

Downtown LA

I'm having a love affair with downtown LA right now. I couldn't figure out why but this weekend I realized it reminds me of New York. I'm not down there very often but if you have a chance to go down on the weekends [in the morning], the streets, the sounds and the beautiful buildings can transport you [or maybe it's just me]



I got some fun photos of things before my days at Unique LA, hopefully this week I'll have more time to post them. Until then this gorgeous building is the Eastern Building developed by the Kor Group a few years ago into residential lofts. Kor is also responsible for the stunning Viceroy Hotel Group among many.

I miss doing linoleum cuts {very much} an old shoulder injury makes it impossible these days. It's very difficult to concentrate one's hand for long periods of time for carving ... or it leads to expensive chiro appointments same/same.

My best friend and her hubbs just bought a house that they'll need to renovate from it's 1970's madness. I've been on the hunt for interesting photos for her ever since. Some days, living in So California you can only dream of owning a home. At 600-700k for a fixer upper...{sigh} it's so far away from being a reality for C and me. I'm living vicariously.
