Love
I have gay friends who have had longer, more successful relationships than myself and my parents combined.
I hope that one day when I'm 80 and I'm talking to a young person about their history lessons, that they'll talk about this day as we talk about the civil rights movement now. How could we have been so dumb? How did we let this go on for so long?
Love is equal. end of story.

sneak peek: in the studio
My husband says it's his favorite of my work "down to the envelope". I might have to agree, I'm not sure what that means for my own invite a year + ago!
I still haven't sorted out why Blogger has changed the large image size postings. click this bad boy to enlarge to it's glory.
blind emboss with translucent white ink, charcoal grey. Envelopes rsvp gravel grey + opal outer envelope. Pink liner to come.

new in the studio
Part 1 of 5 series for photographer Eric Hameister. We're looking back at his career through his cameras 1979 "dad's camera" was his first. We're trying something different than the standard old 'photo postcard' and telling the story of how he got here.

New in the shop: Happy Wife, Happy Life
An office I use to work in had some fairly sassy women in it. One day my boss was griping about something his wife had done and a coworker said to him "as soon as you realize you were BORN WRONG you're life will become so much easier" We all had a good laugh about it but for years he repeated that mantra with a chuckle. It's true though, yes? Happy Wife, Happy Life?
Perfect for a new couple's wedding, anniversary or ummm, I'm sorry I was a bonehead type of moment.

Saatchi art online
I just discovered Saatchionline.com a site dedicated to art and emerging artists. The London gallery [and I believe part of the advertising agency as well?] has long promoted art and artists around the world. Their online content helps emerging artist post and sell their art to a higher end buyer than say Etsy. Here are some of my recent favorites:
