Vine App

I'm hanging with the cool kids on Vine as of yesterday. What is Vine? an app similar to twitter and instagram where you can post quick 7 second videos. Because we all don't have enough to do online right? Lets try it out and see what happens.

I was trying to upload my printing video I just made but alas I'll need a day or two to sort that out. Meanwhile download the Vine App at the apple store you can look for me as @richiedesigns.

art accidents

when I'm setting up a job I often use old sheets with other items on them and just overprint till the ink gets up to where I need it to be. Sometimes these overprints make the best accidental art.

More sleep and neon lips make for an interesting combo.

special project

I assembled a special wedding gift design project this weekend. A friend contacted me and said can you turn these lyrics into a poster for some friends getting married? black / white and modern. Voilá. [The actual lyrics are small and not visible from this vantage point.]

I'm not going to pretend to be a framer thought. I always have to cut two before I get it right. Today was no exception. Not to mention my office having been blown up in the process.

Now, if it would only ship safely to it's destination I would be so happy.

I took almost 5 whole days off in a row over the holiday. Two of which I barely left my bed, not because I was sick but just because I wanted to – it's something that hasn't happened in a few years. Afternoon naps, a few walks, a yoga class. I really, really needed that break. I don't know about you but 2012 kicked my ass. I'm regrouping, cleaning out my life [hello recycling bin half full of paper] and plotting 2013. I don't have any big answers right now, only that I can't repeat last year – something's got to give.

I'm Looking forward to more balance, more visits with friends, more rest, more thoughtful and fulfilling work, more time with my love. I hope 2013 brings you everything you want, even things you didn't know you needed.
